Studies in Desires is an exploration of texture, form and the sensory qualities of objects. Through close-up compositions and controlled lighting, everyday accessories are transformed into sculptural subjects, inviting a slower and more tactile way of looking. The series focuses on the tension between hard and soft, smooth and rough, organic and constructed. Leather, metal, stone and glass interact through contrasting surfaces, shapes and reflections, creating unexpected relationships between materials. Scale is deliberately altered, allowing familiar objects to become almost abstract and sensual. Rather than simply documenting the objects, the images explore their ability to evoke desire through touch, shape and material presence.
